About Us

Max is the reason I created Max and Pack and he deserves a page all for himself (with a little bit about me at the end!) I started making collars for Max as a hobby as I struggled to find smaller styles of paracord and rope collars, and soon my friends asked me to make collars for their dogs. Thanks to Max and his small neck, we now offer the Mini style collars, which are perfect for smaller breeds (such as Jack Russells/Dachshunds/Chihuahuas) and also the standard collars, which are better suited for medium/large breeds. I'm pleased to say we can now offer more products than ever, with the launch of our first two harness collections in 2023 - BurgHoundy and The Zoomie-Verse!

Max is a rescue dog from Cyprus that we rescued in July 2020. Max looks a lot bigger in photos than he actually is - he only weighs 8kg - and he wears the Mini collars.

Max has certainly not had an easy life. Since being with us, he's had cancer, which resulted in him having a toe amputated to remove the mass, and two surgeries on one of his eyes. We're hoping he never has to have any more surgeries as he was recently diagnosed with a heart murmur, which makes things more complicated. Oh, and to top it off, he also has fused vertebrae in his spine!

Whilst it has been quite stressful for Max and for us, we certainly wouldn't change him for the world and he's now a part of our little pack! He's the sweetest and funniest dog around - if you want to see more Max content, he has his own Insta account! It's the_adventures_of_max_2020

A little about me (because the heading does say "About us" rather than "About Max". My name is Sam and I have always loved animals. I never had pets growing up, but I always wanted horses and dogs. Maybe one day I'll add horses into the mix, but for now, Max is enough of a handful.

I live in Hampshire, UK, with my husband and I work full-time in London. Max and Pack is very much my hobby, which I have loved sharing with other dog lovers, and I hope I can continue doing so for a long time to come :)
